Go Up While You're Outback

Enjoy a different view of the outback with a hot air balloon ride and champagne breakfast with Outback Ballooning, one of Australia's largest and longest established ballooning companies, operating in Alice Springs since 1986. For the first time ever, Outback Ballooning will bring their balloons to Winton to enable festival-goers to experience the vast outback from above.

Bookings can now be placed for rides during the festival. The cost is just $250 per adult and $200 per child under 12. This includes a 30 minute flight, transfers, insurance, breakfast and a commemorative flight certificate.

The balloons will launch at a site near Winton just as the sun lights up the rugged huge rocky outcrops, cliffs and canyons.  Upon landing, balloonists can break open the champagne and tropical fruit juice to celebrate their flight. Drinks will be accompanied by a selection of muesli biscuits, exotic slices, cheese and fresh fruit. Balloonists will also be able to buy photographic souvenirs of their adventure.
